The 2008 World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies had a special treat for fans of Bloomsburg University this past Friday afternoon.
The 2008 World Series trophy made a scheduled stop at our Kehr Union Ballroom for fans to take pictures, greet the Philly Fanatic and for a special opportunity to meet radio announcer Tom McCarthy. The Phillies are repaying their beloved fans, whom have been with them since the start of the season with a trophy tour presented by Neve Pharmaceuticals and Comcast SportsNet.

Sophomore Taylor Battle scorched the Huskies for 17 points and Danny Morrisssey dropped 14 as Penn State downs Bloomsburg 77- 51 at Bryce Jordan Center this past Sunday.
Penn State shot 41% from the field including six three pointers which Morrissey found the stroke from beyond the arc nailing four of his own. Bloomsburg struggled offensively against the Division I Nittany Lions connecting on 20-51 shooting chances led by Larry Webster 16 points on 8-9 shooting. Bloomsburg University to Host NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championships

Bloomsburg University will serve as the host of the 2008 NCAA Division II field hockey championship final four on Friday, November 14 and Sunday, Nov. 16.
The Huskies, 21-1 and the top seed from the South Region, will get a first round bye. Indiana University of Pennsylvania, 14-2, will host Shippensburg University in the South region first-round contest at 7 p.m. Eastern time, Saturday, November 8. The winner will advance to play Bloomsburg.

BLOOMSBURG— Kelsey Stoka (Langhorne/Neshaminy) had a hat-trick with three goals and one assist to lead the Bloomsburg University women’s soccer team to a 5-0 victory over the University of Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday afternoon.
Stoka began scoring for the Huskies with an unassisted goal in the seventh minute of play. Jourdan Fedusenko (Newark, DE/Newark) scored a goal off a Stoka assist in the 20th minute to end the half with a 2-0 lead.

Water Polo Kicks Off Tournament

 
I am very picky in terms of my sports. I acknowledge baseball, basketball and football (hockey is on probation) while everything else kind of just blends into the background.
