Although Bloomsburg students and community members have succeeded in revamping Block Party into a safer and more enjoyable experience, The Press Enterprise continues to misrepresent the event and mislead the public.

Excited for Block Party? Everyone is. But do you know the origins of Bloomsburg’s infamous holiday? For the first time, the legend of Block Party is revealed.

On Thursday, March 26, BU Now held its very first event – the Block Party Information session. Although the crowd was smaller than expected, questions continued to fire like rockets to the panelists of block party insiders.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, BU Now will hold a block party information session in room 218 of Centennial Hall. Board members will answer questions regarding various guidelines and procedures for block party, scheduled for Saturday, April 18. Students, faculty, and community members are encouraged to attend.

Bloomsburg University has a large reputation for being a party school. This reputation came about in light of a party held every year called Block Party.

“I sat next to a guy one semester who said he enrolled at Bloom because of block party,” said Baker. “He visited the campus during block party weekend as a high school senior and said it was the craziest party he had ever seen.”
