“Zack and Miri Make a Porno … Kevin Smith + Seth Rogan = how did no one think of this before?

In “Zack and Miri Make a Porno,” the two life-long friends played by Seth Rogen (like you don’t know who he is) and Elizabeth Banks (you may remember from “40-Year-Old Virgin,” as well as recent roles in “W.” and “Role Models”) are having some trouble paying their bills…

In last week’s edition of “The Voice” both Berrigan’s and Steph’s Subs shops were compared in a sub showdown. While the two businesses were evaluated on their pros and cons, some remarks were unfair and somewhat biased.
First of all, how could two people with any common sense base their judgment on two completely different items on the menu? To make a fair and accurate decision, why wouldn’t a so called “food critic” order the same item from the menu? By the “food critic’s” unrealistic grading system, the whole evaluation of …

“Mirror’s Edge” … Defying Gravity and Genre

“Mirror’s Edge” is a game that gives gamers hope that even in these days of cookie cutter FPSs and unimaginative, clichéd RPGs, new and innovative ideas still spring up from time to time.

Whenever girls get ready to go out, whether it be to the local bar or going to work, we open our closet doors and stare.  We stare at the mounds of clothes hanging in front of us, not knowing what to wear.  To make this process a little easier, add these ten essential fashion items to your closet.
Dress Pants: Everyone needs a good pair of dress pants.  Whether they are black, grey, or blue, everyone needs a pair of these pants for work or upcoming internships. Get a …

So, for the substantial amount of persons who do not understand the significance of this article’s title (everyone who is not the author) here it is: during my junior year of high school, I realized that I needed to actually blindfold myself between classes in order to avoid becoming witness to something approximating the higher primates’ mating ritual taking place in the hallways. I wrote an article for my school paper entitled “Gross Kids Are Gross” where I explained, with all the eloquence due a tautology, how very gross …

With the holidays just around the corner, spirits are high, temperatures are cold, and the ripple effect of giving and caring are beginning to make their way across the country.  What is, to many people, a time of joy, however, is just a time of winter survival and forgotten hopes for the homeless.
This week is “National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week” and Bloomsburg University, along with many others, is doing what they can to help give the less fortunate something to look forward to during the holidays.  The week started …

One of the devastations of the current economic crisis that is not spoken by the media is the numerous amounts of charitable and non-profit organizations that are seeing a sudden decrease in donations. However, this did not stop SECA (State Employee Combined Appeal) from seeing a generous amount of donations from faculty and staff at Bloomsburg University.
The SECA campaign is a statewide annual drive devoted to encouraging state employees to give back to their communities, country, or beyond.  This year’s event pulled in $35,919.16 (around 90 percent of their goal total of …

Another one bites the dust. This past weekend Bloomsburg University won its third straight NCAA Division II National Championship, and its sixth in the past seven years.  No matter how you define a dynasty, it seems impossible that Coach Jan Hutchinson and the BUFH program does not qualify every year.
This has its perks of course, but in collegiate athletics players come and go. Heading into the 2009 season Bloomsburg loses six seniors with three national championships each under their belts.
How will the program survive, and can the …

On a chilly Sunday, the Bloomsburg Huskies caught fire.
It took the team over 82 minutes to record the three goals needed to reach the championship game. On Sunday however, they accomplished the same feat in a matter of moments.
“It was amazing to come out Sunday and score three goals in the first like six minutes,” Allison Ziants said, “That doesn’t happen often and to do it in the championship game just shows that when we set our mind to coming out and playing strong we can do it …
