Our goal was to give you the most complete and accurate portrayal of the Block Party experience. Our victim was Joe Arleth. His mission: Enjoy the day just as he would normally, but document the entire experience. Here is his final report.

This isn’t the high-class grandeur steeped scene of Manhattan; this is Bloomsburg, where deer outnumber people. One thing remains constant no matter where you live, or where anyone lives for that matter, and that is relationships.

While most Bloomsburg University students were putting the finishing touches on their spring break, the university’s wrestling team competed at the Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Championships on March 7th. The team finished third with 88.5 points, trailing only West Virginia (95.5) and Edinboro (126.5). The third place finish was the best for the team since 1993, when they claimed the title.

Nobody likes the blue lot. No one. It’s the best option available to many students, so we take it, but we don’t love it. It’s like the guy in your hallway who’s annoying, but you still deal with him because its easier than trying to tell him off or avoiding him.

“Kutztown and Mercyhurst are going to be tough competitors – no question,” said Glubo. “I feel all three of us [teams] have great players, but the thing that will separate us is our work ethic, and how hard we all work on and off the court, and in the end we shall prevail.”

Tucked away in the far corner past Roongo’s in the student services center is a small office of big importance. The newly named Office of Academic Internships and Community Outreach is the gateway for any student in need of internship help. Internships are an important part of the college learning experience. Information is everywhere, and the Office of Academic Internships and Community Outreach is there to help answer questions and find the right internship.

PA Governor Ed Rendell unveiled a proposal which he believes will save money and help the state’s public schools attain success. Perhaps the biggest part of Rendell’s plan is consolidating the states 501 school districts into 100 much larger districts

Up until this year, Valentine’s Day meant nothing to me.

The Bloomsburg University wrestling team lost an EWL match to the Edinboro Fighting Scots on Thursday, February 5 by a score of 25-12. The Huskies (7-7, 2-3) competed with Edinboro (10-4, 4-0), who are ranked 13th in the latest USA Today/Intermat/NWCA polls.

The new policy will restrict the hours during the school week when students can house guests and place guidelines in regards to the frequency of weekend visitors. Visitation guidelines will be implemented for non-hall residents and other guests during the week from 10 p.m. through 1 a.m.
