Quest offers wilderness first aid course

Registration is open for an introductory-level wilderness first aid program sponsored by Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Quest program and presented by the National Outdoor Leadership School’s (NOLS) Wilderness Medicine Institute. The program will be held Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5 and 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Monty’s on BU’s upper campus.

First Case of Swine Flu Reported in Bloomsburg

The first recorded case of the H1N1 virus, more commonly known as the swine flu, has been reported. On August 28, Dr. Robbie Soltz, wife of Bloomsburg University President David Soltz, became the first BU community resident to be diagnosed with the virus.
