Kyle Ream and Matt Bosso never had the opportunity to play football against each other in high school.

They were, however, drawn to Bloomsburg University for exactly the same reasons.

The winning tradition. A family-oriented program. And, head coach Danny Hale.

Both players fit the Huskies mold of high-character student-athletes with a strong work ethic.

That said, it’s no coincidence that Ream and Bosso are leaders of the offensive unit that is ranked No. 2 in the nation in rushing at 287.5 yards per game, and also has a solid passing game.

The nationally ranked Huskies (4-0, 1-0) are off to another solid start in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division, after many predicted a down season after the graduation of former star running back Jamar Brittingham.

Not so.

Ream, a 2004 West Perry graduate, was named offensive captain this season for good reason. The senior receiver is the go-to player when the offense needs to move the chains, or come up with a big play to turn a game around.
