Lauren Hess’s (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) goal in the 71^st minute lifted the BloomsburgUniversity women’s soccer team to a 1-0 win over Mansfield on Tuesday night.

Bloomsburg dominated play in the first half getting off nine shots to one for the Mountaineers, but could not score. Hess then finally found the back of the net in the 71^st minute with an assist going to Kristine Preski (Pottstown/Owen J. Roberts). Bloomsburg goalie Frances Nicoletti (HaddonfieldNJ/Haddonfield), made three saves in the win.

The Huskies, 9-3, 5-2 in the PSAC East,, play at home with Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday at 3 p.m.
