The sneaker sale fund raiser was held by the Bloomsburg University field hockey and softball teams on Thursday, October 2 at the Kerh Union. The fundraiser has been held every fall and spring for about 10 to 12 years, according to assistant softball coach, Susan Cocher. Monies raised usually range from between $1,000 and $1,500 and are divided between the two sponsoring teams for items such as equipment. Cocher says that it’s a great one-day fundraiser through which they “can’t get burned,” because they’ll never come out if it with a negative amount. Secret Sneaker provides the shoes and merchandise for the sale. Above, Nate Gainer considers buying a pair of New Balances.
